With a beautiful, bright straw color this Chardonnay has a nose full of ripe pear, fig and roasted vanilla bean. The mouthfeel is full and crisp followed through with a complex array of flavors including green apple, pear and fig mingling with vanilla and ginger. This Chardonnay has a long finish that is filled with fruit and well balanced acidity making this a great wine to enjoy with food. This chardonnay is 100% barrel fermented and was aged in barrel for 13 months. We used a combination of new and used French oak. Approximately 25% of the wine underwent a secondary fermentation (malolactic or ML) which gives the wine an added creamy texture without masking the wonderfully crisp fruit flavors.

2001 Cabernet Sauvignon - Estate - Paso Robles
Pour into your glass and gaze in wonder at this beautiful dark red wine. Swirl and breathe in the interesting mélange of Bing cherry, plum, minerals and mocha found in the aromas. Take a sip. The mouthfeel is vast and sumptuous followed by concentrated flavors of sweet cherry, blackberry, blueberry, minerals and dried herbs. All intertwined with a generous (but not overdone) backbone of oak. Everything is in balance--fruit, oak, acidity and tannins--and will meld and age gracefully for at least the next 3 - 7 years.
A 20% blending of Estate Merlot was added to soften and round-out the mid-palette. Both components were aged for 36 months in primarily American (75%) oak, a third of which were new. This is our first-ever bottling of Estate Cabernet. The vines were 6 years old for this vintage and are already showing great maturity. The Midnight Estate Vineyard is a west-side, hilly, rocky, low-yield vineyard which produces exceptionally concentrated fruit. 2002 Zinfandel Estate - Paso Robles
One word describes this zinfandel: WOW! The color is a deep, dark ruby red with violet accents. The nose is big and fruity full of ripe blackberry, raspberry, minerals and sweet spice. The mouthfeel is luxurious and fills the mouth with highly extracted flavors of blackberry jam, plum, earth, and an essence of pepper. This is 100% Zinfandel grown on our home vineyard in the west hills of Paso Robles. We crop the grapes to less than 2 tons per acre and limit the water given to the vine. This produces wines that have great extraction and concentrated flavors such as this Zinfandel. This wine has been aged in neutral oak barrels and will continue to improve for several more years in bottle although it does drink well now.
