Tasting Notes
Essences of vanilla, pomegranate, and blackberry notes on the nose, with hints of cocoa powder, white pepper, and baking spices that meld with whispers of blueberry, plum, and cherry on the palate that linger into a long-lasting finish. Full-bodied with complementary tannins.
Vineyard Notes
The 2016 vintage started off with respectable weather through bloom and set. Our first bit of 100-degree weather came during the sizing phase which affected berry growth on many of our varietals. In September, the ripening was lengthened with the hot and cool temperature swings. Overall, winemakers are optimistic about the yields with no significant factors like freezes or prolonged heat spikes affecting the crop.
Production Notes
38% Cabernet Sauvignon
38% Merlot
12% Malbec
12% Petit Verdot

Delicious wine. This will be awesome aged or decanted now with our steak meals. Cannot wait to get my hands on another bottle!
