2018 Mare Nectaris
"Mare Nectaris" is the name of a lunar ocean/crater. It is Latin meaning "sea of nectar." Thousands of years ago, wine was referred to as "the nectar of the gods." It was believed that fine wines were worthy of being served to deities. The Hartenberger family still believes in this notion. We expect you will find this bottle of Mare Nectaris worthy of being served to your most honored guests...or gods.
Wow, what a wine! The color is so dark it's almost black. First whiff off the nose lets you know you're in for a treat. Giant amounts of ripe black and red fruit, spice, leather, and earth. The mouthfeel is amazing with a complex array of blackberry, plum, anise, and cinnamon. The finish goes on forever. Drink now through 2040.
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 10% Malbec, 10% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet
